A post graduate of Kashmir University. Qualified
Combined Services Competitive Examination in the
year 1984, figured at S.No. 87 of ‘General Merit
List’ of more than four hundred selected
candidates. Allotted Accounts Service (KAS-Batch
84). Worked in different capacities in various
departments till retirement on superannuation.
Started career as Administrative Officer in JK
Funds Organization, followed by Chief Accounts
Officer in Electric Maintenance Kashmir, Food
and Supplies, PWD (R&B) Kashmir and discharged
duties as Financial Advisor in Medical Institute
Soura, Forest, Food, Labour, Employment and Home
Department.
In each department worked with a missionary
spirit ensuring financial discipline, reducing
objections to zero, conducting reconciliation as
per schedule and chased achieving of targets
fixed according to the schedule.
Further, it is on record that there has not been
even a single case or instance of financial
irregularity, misappropriation or embezzlement
during that period in that particular
department.
Have a credit of removing misgivings about SRE
in the MHA and conducted reconciliation with
various departments / agencies including AG,
Finance, Home and MHA within a record period of
five months and finally got reimbursement issues
settled between the centre and the state. This
act was highly appreciated by all higher
authorities in the state as well as in the
centre.
In the Home Department in addition to routine
duties a special assignment of monitoring
various schemes such on JK State police Force
Modernization, Rehabilitation of displaced
people of Boarder Migrants especially Khour,
Akhnoor, Capacity building in Prison Department
(modernization) and Prime Minister’s
Reconstruction Plan was with the officer.
Successful implementation of these schemes
within the stipulated period made prominent
among the higher authorities.
Joined as Member of Jammu & Kashmir State
Electricity Regulatory Commission (JKSERC) on
01-03-2010.
